It really did come out amazingly well, didn't it? Chessi absolutely nailed everything I asked for and more. Probably the only artist I work with who I currently trust with a piece this complex.
I can only really answer the last question, being that it's set in the Saorsa world/setting, this particular picture will be going into the game book as a full-page for the mobility rules section.
As for how they do it? No idea. I have the PSD file, and looking through the layers, I'm pretty sure the answer is "black magic" or something along those lines. Shall have to let Chessi give a more useful answer since I don't know. I just know it's well worth it, and actually had the finished version sent on Christmas day. Seeing this was definitely the best part of Christmas and went from just being a cozy day to a really great one! =3

Yes, verily! Chessi, if I may call them that, did a wonderful job with this art. I stared at it for much time and I still cannot comprehend it... Every which way my eyes look, I see details I had missed before. Truly a wonderful artist.
