The wine served with dinner was a Kudos 2019 (on the right). It's a pinot noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon, and was a perfect complement to the meal.

This is a Chardonnay dessert wine from Romania, and it was bottled in 1977. I acquired it in the late 80s, and it's been lying on its side in the dark since I bought it. The cork came out in two pieces, and the contents were a bit discolored by the tannins in the cork leaching out. Despite that, it hadn't turned, and went well with the Black Forest Cake.
