More the latter! I'll probably throw in a line or two towards the end, but the Orders of Virtue that Arkhan follows don't say much about romantic affairs or anything—this religion (for lack of better word) is about commitment to one's self, rather than commitment to anything external.
So yeah, Arkhan is totally free to be tempted into anything...! But maybe he just wasn't ready for another Orc hunk to invite him along for such a big adventure...!
