I like both but, I quite agree that the updated version is better. He doesn't look bitter and angry to me in the update. He looks more determined to accomplish his goals and he has the sword to do it with. As I look at the update again, I think I might have to commission you to draw one of my Mory warriors. With a few physical changes (fur color and stripes added), I believe you could do a fantastic job on one of my warriors.

I was going through my gallery and saw that you have already done a drawing of Lo-Nachoo, one of my warriors. If you look at your copy, you'll see that he's somewhere between the original version of your Kublai Kahn and your updated version. I like that.

Definite improvement in every way. :D

Even for me, it’s always interesting to look back at earlier skills that I was developing as an amateur artist. This is especially true for my oil paintings.
