Suddenly, bells rang. 3 in the morning. The Ghost, who had been aging throughout his journey, became very weak. Present is ephemeral, he would be born again next present Christmas. As he was vanishing, he pulled up his robe. 2 horrible, goblinish children, came out of it. Scrooge, uncomfortable, asked who they were. They were Ignorance and Want, the children of men. Both were aggressive, although Want was more dangerous than Ignorance who did not desire as much as him, and Scrooge had to make sure not to let them dominate him. More and more scared, he asked the deteriorating spirit if they had no shelter, who answered him. "Workhouses and prisons." Then all three disappeared, leaving the old man in a state of shock alone in the middle of the night
