Ok I'll tell you what they are...

So in the first game, KH1, there are heartless, then nobodies came after KH2...

Now in Birth By Sleep, the time is set before KH1 so your not fighting heartless or nobodies, your fighting these blue monsters called unversed...or unbirths...
