Pij and Heru (Horus) interacting.
Not sure which Horus.
It's the one he's put as leader of the Puppet government put in place of the ancient Egyptian pantheon, after having the Caninites subjugate loyalists to the Kemetic dynasty.
since it was easier to get the gods to destroy each other than to fight them on his own.
thus why Pij is in charge of Monotheism gang, because Set and Aten tried to solo coup the gods. - but Pij is much more savvy. and because the main egyptian gods are all petty morons it wasn't too hard.
Pij made sure that they had a nice retirement as he replaced each of them with alternative gods that he picked from the best of his officers. - making sure that they have no ties of nobility to any of the prior gods. -- and as best a physical resemblence to the former gods as possible.
(effectively creating an anti-aristocracy.)
This is because if you're going to have a magical entity that controls spirits that influence the forces of nature then you may as well have them lead by someone who does the job efficiently. makes no sense otherwise.
Plus this is pretty normal, in actuality the egyptian gods were always just doppelgangers grabbing the name and form of the prior gods they took the roles of and pretending there was no change. it was pretty much a dynasty-by-dynasty occurrence.
(the pharaonic families were that way so why wouldn't the gods be that way?)
so nothing of certainty can even be said about them, it's an ever-changing symbolic order where anything can be said and by extension nothing meaningful can be said. other than just names and places.
so it is.
Language was magic for the ancient egyptians, so this lore works best because it reduces the entire substance of their metaphysics to purely words. - and God the Pigeon is The Logos after all.
we go unto Mimamsa subjugation of the God of Words within his own name. as he subjugates via his own self-subjugation. Thoth's rhetoric has nothing on Pij's sophistry.
You should see THEM when they debate.
The God of Knowledge was laid low, by Pij's deft usage of Socratic Ignorance, in that arc.
(basically, Pij willingly embarrassed himself so well that it made Thoth look smug and he got the hearts of everyone. he lost the debate in form, but in spirit conquered.)
worth noting Pij did all of what he did because of a messy divorce. and literally nothing else. mass deicide happened purely because some bitch broke his heart.
(he still calls her tho, she has a restraining order at this point)
also on that note Pij is a giant faggot but even he thinks Kratos is a bitch for not beating the merciless shit out of his dumbass son.
(Anyone familiar with the gospels knows God's relationship with his son so that shouldn't be surprising. which, in my lore, satan is his other son, so consider that that means Jesus is the one he treats NICELY. )
