That was the plot of the DS game that happens after Kingdom Hearts 1 but before KH2.
Sora, Donald and Goofy have their memories fucked with, they are all "HAHAHAHA we can take you evil bastard dude!" to the big bad guy of the ds game but they suck and are all "Erm I can't remember how to do anything" and it is because they have had their memories stripped.
