Galen: Scion of Storm and Sky
Name: Galen Aiakos
Alias/Codename: Old Blade of Sparta
Gender: Male
Orientation: Bisexual
Species: Golden Eagle
Height: 6'4"
Age: Exact age is unknown, estimated at least 2500 years old.
Voice: Notable Greek accent with a fairly deep voice.
Abilities:
Weaknesses:
Personality: Gruff, stoic, and straight to the point. He tends to groan and facepalm at the actions of certain flippant individuals. He holds great respect for combat and the finer parts of life alike, but will not hesitate in using his strength to settle problems that words or other methods cannot.
Background: Galen was born sometime around 495 BCE. Not much is known about his origin, but he was born and raised a fierce Spartan warrior with no clue as to his lineage. Even so, he grew to be one of Sparta's, and by extension Greece's, greatest champions. He fought through many perils, defeated many threats, and became a renowned hero among the people. But as time marched on, he became aware of the fact that he was different. Other men and women he knew from childhood grew gray and old, yet all that seemed to affect him was that his feathers simply turned gray. His body remained in its peak condition, not aging one day past his 30th birthday. Confused by this fact, he set out to learn the truth about himself. And so he did.
Galen, son of Zeus, the king of Olympus. A demigod at the least, he now knew, and yet... They too had faded in one way or another. Seeking guidance from an Oracle, he would learn the full extent. As it was common knowledge by that point, he had earned a distinct ire from the Queen of Olympus, one in which he would be cursed to watch the people he knew fade to dust while he persisted. Or so he was told.
Despite this truth, Galen did not falter in his convictions. He turned his personal curse into a blessing for the world and people he knew, swearing to protect them despite his mortality meaning he might face an early grave from battle. And so, as the years whittled by and the world around him changed drastically, he found purpose. A purpose that resulted in a gift from the three Brothers of Olympus and would eventually lead him to join the Greece Pantheon worshipping warrior cult that drew inspiration from him and other Greek heroes of legend in defending modern-day Greece, the Sons of Sparta. In a way, he was home again and would fight to protect his homeland alongside those who followed a similar path.
