Part of the genetic experimentation included adding some animal DNA to The Magpies. Scorpio, as you could have guessed, has scorpion DNA. The modifications worked pretty well with mammals, but there were clearly problems when introducing anthropods, as most subjects simply couldn't handle it and died. The only survivor was dubbed 'Scorpio' but was nearly disposed of as well due to his increased appetite, sexual drive and violent outbursts. Pairing him with other members seemed to help keep him stable enough to move forward with his training. He was most often paired with the timid Pisces who he seemed to get along with quite a bit, but also was paired often with the brooding Aries, who would smack him around as often as needed to keep him in line.

Nowadays he doesn't required being paired but is fairly clingy to other members when he's in the main house.
