The size and shape does require a lot of fat, but if I recall correctly, I once heard they only average about 25% in body fat percentage, which is surprisingly low for the BMI they tend to have at that size. It's really amazing how much muscle they're packing in there, and shockingly few people know about that factor.

Another name for them in Japanese is sumotori, a more casual term that, amazingly enough, I learned from watching Super Duper Sumos--Kimo, the Japanese one of the titular trio, would often call his brothers "honourable sumotori". And sometimes they're even more casually referred to by fans as "osumo-san" basically the equivalent of "sumo men".

Women can only compete in amateur sumo, basically, because to this day, a woman's presence in an officiated dohyo is believed to make it impure, so they're not able to compete on a professional level. They used to not allow foreigners either, but now they do, so really, it's high time they allow women to compete professionally.

That seriously sucks. Hope female sumos get proper respect soon.

That said, some of us (myself definitely included) mostly want to see female sumo wrestlers for purely fat fetish reasons. Certainly one way of making the arena “impure”.

Forgive me if I’m being forward here, but for being the only male vassal, Dragon Fruit seems to have a more feminine physique. Granted, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything-and AtC #69 implies it doesn’t-but if he does have some non-straight inclinations, I honestly think that would be fun to explore.

Or at the very least, might be fun to put DF in a tutu or something.
