This piece is from my sophomore year in college. I had just taken a writing minor and was trying to get my mind off a project that I'd stewed over for years. The issue with the last project is that I wasn't writing, only planning to write. So, the resident fiction professor told me to start something new. I was also in a mythology class at the time, and this story (not edited as of now) is the result. More than anything, this is me trying to develop the habit of posting.

Nice story with some excellent formulations. My favourite part was the dialog between Wissena, the Old One and Altester. The story in general reminds me of Greek gods, all mighty but still very human in their behavior.
Since I know some lore, I wondered how Wissena could acquire the knowledge to the arcane discipline.
I also found some potential typos if you feel inclined to edit this older story of yours:
1) "... but her complexion was fair. He hair was silver, ..."
2) "... She with earnestness she began her task ... "
3) "... In her knowledge and library. all the gods ..."
Furthermore, I didn't know gryphons existed in your world.
