Name: Sutekina Hirashi
Sex: Female
DOB: 3 February
Species: Oni-Kitsune
Nationality: Japanese (Yamato)
Residence: Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
Height: 190 cm
Weight: 90 kg
Hair: Black
Eyes: Jade Green
Coat: Tan/Black/Periwinkle
Occupation: Sentō owner (聖なる泉 -- "The Sacred Spring")
Abilities and Skills
Kanabōjutsu -- Normally disguised as a gunsen fan kept in the sleeves of her kimono, Sutekina is capable of brandishing a heavy kanabō club with impressive, if brutal skill
Super strength -- Oni blood flows through her veins and imbues her with terrifying physical strength and stamina; when gingerly applied, it makes her one of the best masseuses in town
Kitsune magic -- With enough shapeshifting skill to disguise her appearance, the oni woman also has more than a few tricks up her kimono sleeves to dabble in alchemy and magic; these certainly enhance the experience at her bath house
History
In truth, Sutekina's life was hindered in Japan by not quite fitting in for various reasons, not least of which being her mixed family heritage.
Descended from an oni and kitsune clan, she was a "runt" by oni standards, but also less gifted with fox magic. Able to disguise her true nature with shape shifting to highlight her rabbit features, she could perform enough magic to surprise most mortals, and was easily the strongest among the mortals in her community. Her exotic nature made her cynical and eager to find somewhere else she would be accepted.
Either underestimating how jarring the culture shock among Americans in Ohio would be or shrewdly capitalizing on it, Sutekina found that opening an authentic sentō bath house to be a lucrative business. Often hiring other mystical women like herself, they happily hide in plain sight among the mostly mortal communities in and around Cincinnati. However, because of the popularity of the bath house combined with the oni woman's unique nature, her employees, and her clientele, the location has become a "hallowed ground" for various mystics to visit.
Rivals are often separated while using the bath house, but they also have business and diplomatic meetings there. Icy relations have a better chance of thawing in hot water, some might say. However, Sutekina's physical strength and the professional skills of her and her staff mean that they are capable of keeping the peace. Meanwhile, others in the community are quite fond of her facilities and have unspoken agreements to mutually punish offenders who transgress the oni-woman's establishment. Here, she found the esteem that escaped her in Japan.
