Abilities and Skills
Sentō Hostess -- Trained in all of the traditions and etiquette, Sutekina offers one of the most authentic Japanese bath house and spa experiences in the Midwest
History
Born in Ōtsu on Lake Biwa in Japan, Sutekina Hirashi grew up steeped in many of the traditions of the region. She traveled up sacred Mount Hiei and visited the Enryaku-ji temple, visited the Ogoto Onsen hot springs, and well-explored the ancient streets of Kyoto. Thanks to friends in America and their suggestions, and feeling adventurous for a change in pace, Sutekina took her professional love of bath houses and hot springs to the US and settled in Cincinnati. While not a great metropolis, it was somewhat akin to familiar surroundings in the Ohio River Region, south of the Great Lakes and west of the Allegheny Mountains.
Whether the change in scenery and the sometimes onerous culture shock was enough to bring out a stern and exacting temper in her or that it betrayed something else most Cincinnati locals don't know. But, most swear by her "spa" and the ladies who work there, with good reviews online and by word of mouth.
