You really drive home the sense of loss in all of this. It's very much an emotional and thought provoking story in that sense. Loss within itself is a valuable asset to story telling, I think. I'm loving it in the worst possible way. lol.

Yea! I'm enjoying it! I regularly delete journals but its one thing I've written at length about. In a story, the sense of loss is a driving force. Identity (in this case, the form, the sex, the memories) Loss of agency, loss of loved ones, etc. It structures the narrative and gives the protagonist depth, and I really like that. This story has hit me in the feels multiple times, and I feel like that's something I'm sorely lacking in proper story telling. It's something I look for.
