”You are what you eat…”_______________________________________________________________________At first, it started slowly. Shard was visiting a recreational center, where he caught sight of all the adorable little koi swimming around peacefully within their ponds. He absolutely loved them, something about them spoke to him, and not long after, he had several small ponds commissioned to be built out around his secluded and lush yard in the back. Then, as his love for the fish grew and grew, so did his ambitions. Through rigorous research and nefarious practices, instead of manifesting a solution for a vial, he had conjured up a red, black, and white goopy specimen with several tentacle- like appendages that- curiously- had a mind of its own! It seemed rather curious and friendly, acting strangely akin to regular koi, albeit land AND water based, and the fact it hardly looked anything like a koi outside of coloration. Despite such, Shard felt it was fine to let it run around and mind its own business. That was, until it decided it was hungry. When that happened, the specimen leapt at Abber- who was in the middle of making a tuna sandwich- landing right on their face and staggering them. The specimen seemed to cling to his face and not let go, before proceeding to rapidly transform Abber from the point of contact, to down his body. At first, Abber struggled and tried to get it off, but after a while his nerves seemed to numb, and he ended up quickly succumbing to the creature’s influence. When Shard came back later that day, a large, anthropomorphized “catfish” was there to greet him… and with an embrace so tight and loving that it was inescapable… and infectious.
