Showing off the scope a bit more, might sneak a 4th view in showing the other end of the scopes lense. Oh, and in case anyone is going 'scopes aren't that long!' Yes they are, the lense is less than a quarter of the way down the end and the elongated part past the lense is a shroud to keep sun from getting on the lense and making the shooters job more difficult thant it should.
Modeled in Google Sketchup 7.
Enjoy~

The Pistol grip or the 'grabby bar'. The 'grabby bar' was a major pain.
I made a flat 2D circle, then made a smaller flat 2D circle that was long ways up like this | and the big one was flat on its side like this -. I rim (place the mouse pointer on the edge and move it around the circles edge about half way then move it to the center of the smaller circle.
You should get a little blue-ish white dot that says 'center' or something. Click it while on the center dot and drag it to the corner of the big circle. At this point you'll need to use Sketchup's 'Follow me' tool and repeat the same thing you did for the smaller circle regarding its edge but do not go to the center when half way around.
If my memory serves me right, you should now have a half ring like shape. If the larger circle was a solid 2D shape not a wire frame of a circle then you can click on the edge of one of the smaller circles, click the rotate tool, run the pointer around the edge of the big circle then locate the direct center of the large circle. Now click once, and point it to one end of the half ring, press ctrl then click again and move it to the center of the arc of the ring and click once more.
It 'should' have divided the half ring with the rotate tool. At this point you simply use the solid black selection arrow select one of the 2 divided parts of the half ring, the click the move button hit the ctrl button again and click and drag the copied part over to the side however far you want it then delete the original part of the part you copied then connect each point together double click that part, right click, then choose the 'soften and smooth edges'. After that you pretty much lengthen the other ends, or repeat what you did to connect the two quarter ring parts and it should be a 'grabby handle.'
^^; Really sorry if its confusing. If that doesn't help i'll try and make a tutorial for it.

With the way things are now, and this PC, i dunno if streaming would work out.
As for the pistol grip. I think there's a tutorial somewhere in
igotnuthin 's gallery. But to tell the truth, after i made that detailed handle i've been re-using, i never bothered making another handle. ^^; but its sorta easy after you see how its done and practice until you have the method memorized.
