It was just another dungeon to clear, Rikima and Jordan thought. A standard quest, easy money, clear out the goons and go. Unfortunately, neither them nor their hirer knew of the secret ensconced within the hybrid cave/temple. It wasn't too odd when a rotund enemy or two would show up, but when every single one was at least portly? It was strange. Strange too was their attire, which grew tighter and tighter with each slain foe. Attributing all the excess magical fat to a curse on the cave, the pair pushed onwards, even after they had cleared out the squatters.
The now-portly duo gasped as they arrived at a large space within the cave, a worn rock statue standing as a centerpiece to a worshipping podium. The mightily overweight being on display wore a grimace, clutching its girthy tail with one paw while the other hefted a rusted orb. Jordan and Rikima's pudgy forms glowed as power flowed from their bodies into the statue before them, returning them to their normal size while the idol before them restored itself to its true form. No longer crumbling rock, the golden being stood proud with a pleased grin, its rusted orb replaced by a shining, polished green one.
A voice spoke from everywhere, echoing from the statue and the podium behind it, lighting the old torches ablaze in green flame. "You have done well, mortals! It has been long since my presence could manifest itself on this plane."
Rikima recognized what this was- this place was a god's channeling temple, a seat of power! But this god was not one he was familiar with. Had they discovered an old god wiped from the history books? Jordan, less aware but nevertheless seeking answers, readied his sword.
"Ah, so it has been millennia has it? For you to see the god of prosperity as a threat, my name must be lost to the sands of time." The voice had a pleased, amused tone. Jordan lowered his sword, not eager to pick a fight with a god in a good mood. "I owe you a great deal, my champions. With my power no longer defiled and temple unsullied, I can bring great prosperity to the lands once more. For your unknowing yet fortuitous deed in restoring my shrine, I shall share my greatest bounty with you first."
Before either could rebuttal or ask what that could mean, the green orb fired two jade beams of light into each of them! A sense of heaviness, of momentum made them stumble, and... wobble? Shriiiiiiip. Jordan gasped as his armor came undone, and Rikima lifted his staff hastily to try (and fail) to repair his suddenly stretched robes. The Luxray's tail hit the floor with a THUD as it grew too large to hold itself aloft. Rikima's gut was the first to spill onto the floor, Jordan's fit body serving him well as it bought an extra moment before his belly could no longer avoid being grounded.
Jordan and Rikima received the godly Blessing of Large Creature! Their size has been increased to Large from Medium, at the cost of 15 feet of movement.
The statue chuckled deeply. "No weight shall stall you. No injury shall fall you. No feast shall sate you. No famine shall fail to feed you! Fortune shall fill your pockets overfull."
"H-hey, I didn't ask for this! Undo this at once, please!" Jordan barked, taking the edge off his tone as the green flames flickered in what he hoped was amusement and not annoyance. "I don't want to be a fatass!"
"Hohoho! Everyone yearns to indulge to their heart's content. You'll come to understand in time. Go forth, my champions, and share your boon- my boon- with the world! Let this plane know the god of prosperity has returned for good."
The golden shine on the statue dimmed, leaving only the dim glow of its eyes. Rikima and Jordan glanced nervously at one another. With a heave, Rikima managed to take his first step with a surprising lack of exhaustion. Jordan did the same. Slowly, the two struggled against their girthy bellies out of the cave. While there was little effort exerted in movement, it was still a struggle to move such a heavy body. The god was right, at least; no weight could stall them.
"There better be a "revoke blessing" spell back in your library Rikima, or so help me..." Jordan huffed, not out of tire but of embarrassed agitation. He glanced down at his ruined armor, then back at the massive tail star he was dragging behind him.
"Don't worry, I'll figure something out! ...I hope." Rikima mumbled. He knew there wasn't a way to revoke a god's boon beyond the god themselves...
I'll be honest, I had meant to write a short synopsis and accidentally wrote a small story instead. See the blurb (link) I wrote with Rystral/Rikima for more info and fun!
This is my sort of fat shape tbh. 👀 Lots of belly, not lacking in pudge in other areas but the belly is the emphasis. Also, big fat tail...
