This idea was prompted by people talking about villain arcs of their characters, and so I considered the possibility of a Mirror Universe Maara where she's an unscrupulous and self serving legion soldier rapidly rising through the ranks. One who, instead of being disillusioned by the charr war machine, leaned fully into it and sown devastation in her path. The kind of person with a body count of people used as stepping stones. I imagine her being some larger than life centurion vying for a tribune position, and given her proclivities uses her position to her advantage. Frankly I'm more than a little spooked by the idea!
