To Boldly Go

While in recovery following the installation of his new arm, Silus spent some of his time watching ancient media from various species. Turian operas, asari soap serials, krogan wrestling. Whatever happened to be on at the time. One show that stuck with him in particular was this old human production called Star Trek. Made nearly two centuries before humans discovered FTL technology and the mass relays, it reflected an almost child-like optimism and hope for the galaxy that Silus honestly found endearing and charming -- a vision of a galaxy united in a desire to simply explore, learn and improve itself. Even as he lost faith in the Hierarchy and the Citadel, he carried with him his own quiet hope that one day his own galaxy may one day dedicate itself to the peaceful discovery of new horizons and frontiers.

Heck, TOS was almost two centuries before the Charon relay was discovered, airing 182 years before 2148.
