The ruin was ancient. It dated back centuries, to a kingdom so old its name was known only to the most studious of scholars and sages. The door had been sealed for so long it was practically part of the hill under which it was buried. No one had set a foot there in an age. Its air carried the stale dankness of a forgotten tomb.
