Michael Bolton, "Go the Distance"


A new cycle of Uranus Chronicles begins with this crossover story with The Puppy's New Adventures, starring Petey, Dolly, Dash, Duke, and Lucky, who are (C) Hanna-Barbera and Ruby-Spears, based upon characters created by Jane Thayer, and several episodes of which can be found online if you know where to look. I'll essentially be adding new episodes to this old animated series...

...and, in all honesty, in my fevered brain, imagining Robert and Charlie taking part in the broadcast episodes as well, but NOT in any way that will impact the existing characters' parts. You've noticed this story was in four acts, basically equal to a one-hour episode even though the original series was only in half-hours. The way I see it, Robert and Charlie, and the dogs, split up for much of the episode, with the dogs' part occurring pretty much as broadcast, while Robert and Charlie tackle another subplot that dovetails into it. If you want an example, I'm going to post a version of this story without Robert and Charlie on my fanfiction.net account, a link to which I'll add to my profile page.

With that in mind, these were the first two broadcast episodes, taking place right after this one:
"The Treasure of the Ancient Ruins"
"The Puppy's Dangerous Mission"
