I'm always fascinated by how black and white film responds to different elements.
Just comparing the results of the white fur vs the deep blue fur. For some reason, it makes the face on the left look distorted.
And apparently the film is not a fan of the color gold, or the other shiny fabrics.

The left face has a weird tuft of fur out of place or something. cropped/zoomed to just the face it looks much better. http://www.bobdbob.com/~protius/mis.....ropped.pgm.jpg
The film had absolutely no contrast between the gold iris and blue pupil, but did better with the black schliera. It would be interesting to try a yellow filter. A red filter would make the blue utterly black, which could also be an interesting look. Theres a very good chance it would be white (or perhaps "bright" is a better word) under 694nm ruby laser light.

Agreed, something looks weirdly out of place..
Interesting thoughts on the filtering. The fun of playing with B&W film.
Almost wonder if, using some photo software (should it exist), you can take a color digital image, and duplicate the B&W film effects, including the use of filters.. Yeah, I'm saying a lot in one sentence.
