Just some doodles I've been pecking at talking about some concepting for a drekir specific Mana based Metallurgy.
Now manametals already exist in the dragonscape and have appeared in the comics in the claws of the Sivilão (Teal Steels).
here is a link for info on that, the blurb is at the bottom of the page: https://sites.google.com/view/thedr.....ernatural/mana
But I wanted to come up with some concepts for a drekir made mana metal as it has been mentioned in the lore amongst specific cultures and more specifically, as drekir begin to exhaust the local ruins and metals available within those ruins they would very likely begin moving on to other materials and something like a Hybrid mana metal makes a lot of sense amongst many cultures. As having decades of conflict with the Sivilão and exposure to those mana metals as well as a developed understanding of metallurgy amongst copper, lead, aluminum etc would probably give a drek some ideas of how to combine the two ideas and make a more practical metal.
This would specifically be a "Stabilized Mana Metal".
To clarify first, Unstable Mana Metals such as the Teal Steel Stãl used by the sivilão slowly breaks down and sublimates/corrodes within a matter of weeks to months. These unstable mana metals (such as sivilão metals) are typically made out of pure mana with no element to stabilize it which, while giving it some pretty crazy qualities as a metal is counteracted by its short life, requiring constant and large scale mass production to maintain the tools, armor, and weapons that the sivilão use in their civilization machines.
So a stabilized metal is something of an alloy, compressed resonant mana "ore" is mixed in with something that can contain and absorb the manas resonance, metals and glass being probably the best materials for it. Of course different materials may impart different qualities onto the mana metal that may vary dramatically in quality.
Though I am pretty sure the most common mediums would be aluminum or copper and later on, particularly copper.
So once the mana "ore" and stabilizing agent are mixed together that can then be melted down and then casted into a mold to be further processed, ground, hammered, etc. into a tool, piece of jewelry, piece of cookware, or other sort of shape.
Taking some inspiration from Hepatizon or a mystical "Black Bronze" for the look here implying the use of Copper and making this sort of metal "techincally a type of bronze". This particularly variant of stabilized mana metal is a relatively hard, blackish purple to violet metal. Though there may be a wide variety of different mana infused alloys. Such as a very hard and brittle alloy made out of glass that is more obsidianesque or a bright aluminum alloy that is very soft and malleable. etc. etc.
There may be slightly magical properties applied to these magical metals, either by elementizing the ore prior to the compression process or through mixing different alchemicals into it.
As for an adoption of these metals, it may not be widespread even well into Hikers time in the DragonScape.
As the thing that would likely prompt this is the depletion of previously abundant scavenged resources from ruins and the need to be a bit less wasteful with what is left or to begin using natural, unmined metals. As of course you can make more mana metal with less actual metal it seems like a reasonable direction to go and one in which the drekir would likely mix techniques that they have heard about from the sivilão and their own metallurgical techniques.
So widespread adoption may not really start to happen until at least the 80-125PA Post awakening period, for perspective Hiker in the comic is currently existing around 37PA. But there may be earlier adoptions amongst more specific cultures such as the Godeaux, Chokadene/Scraeler, and Guardiões da Mina who are more in intense direct contact with mana metals and how to make them. But at least at the time of writing this I would probably imagine that mana metals wouldn't really start to spread until the 80sPA.
So yeah metals there you go!

I am wondering if drekir that study very deeply into rules of Dragon scape could eventually get powers similar to balar level though they have go through transformation stage (due requirements of said power) and transition phase (where have access to said powers but can’t restrain mana from spread out there body causing meltdown to any drekir that get too close) before being stable enough to interact with rest drekir society.
