Based off a Doghouse of Horror piece I did last year called 'Helluva Bass'.

After you read the basic premise it shouldn't be hard to figure out why Mrs. Katswell looks happy to go fishing while Kitty looks not so sure this well end well. To further assure her fears she passes a Wanted poster of the legendary fish "Mr. Big Guy." Local fisherman have been terrified by this sea monster since the early 1980's. "Great Fish...Old as Sega Genesis!!"
The quote I parodied of comes from Moby Dick; which is one of my favorite classic novels that I didn't mind was required reading in high school. It also pays homage to one of my favorite movies Jaws. I guess however you look at it; I like the idea of fishermen going out to sea to hunt down a vicious sea monster. For Mrs. Katswell she lost her husband to Mr. Big Guy which is more than enough reason to hunt the beastie down.
SPOILER: In a sudden twist we find Mr. Katswell has been living in the belly of the beast this whole time and rather than get digested he got used to it. XD
Don't take these horror stories as canon. It's like taking those Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors as canon. :V
But yeah why would I draw this simple scene of Kitty and her mom walking down the pier? Probably just to fully show off their fishing outfits. ;D Very casual and snug fitting. Especially for the very round n lovely Mrs. Katswell. =^^= <33333
Also I'm preparing a part 2 for our next 'Doghouse of Horror': Helluva Bass 2: Paws the Revenge!
It'll be my second story I did a 2-Parter on for my Doghouse of Horror series. The other being 'Clown Atlas' being a parody of Steven King's IT.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if all these stories got animated. I can't even write them out properly other than being simple premises. :P
But yes as usual I will release the next Doghouse of Horror and the follow-up to 'Helluva Bass' come Halloween!
