Just an idea for an alien that...honestly, I don't like very much. ^_^;;; It started with "fish with hands" and it grew into this.

The idea: the Aqiums were fish on another planet, no different from how fiah have evolved on our world. Only, oceans make our look like a puddle, being a planet of nearly 95% water when compared to Earth's 70. However, on their home world, alien technically crashed into their ocean, which kickstarted their evolution. They grew intelligent, and hands that helped them interact with the alien craft, but they never evolved to grow lungs or lose their gills.

And there was another problem: their world being poluted by alien craft landing in their ocean. From rogue satellites to destroyed spaceships, it eventually led to their waters becoming more acidic and poisoned, forcing them to abandon their home to become a space-fairing race, living inside of glass domes and various fish tanks, with humanoid prosthetics acting as bodies, powered by a relatively weak telekinetic field.

I'm not too keen on the design, or even on all this lore, lol.
