Ellie is a dhampire witch and she was hired to go to the Umbra to find stuff that Charlie and his ...err...employer needed to find. In the end, she was the navigator of this expidition but didn't go herself. It was Charlie and the witch's student who ended up having their souls (in a very sexy and soft way) ripped out of their bodies and transported to the Umbra. The most stressful session I had tbh, I'm still not over it.
But before the Umbra expedition, Charlie had a chance to learn more _lore_while layig in a most comfortable position.
