My favorite rum of all time is probably Smith & Cross! It makes for an absolutely killer dark n' stormy with its intense Jamaican funk and high proof. For drinking on its own, I really like Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva. It is dosed, but that doesn't matter if I'm just gonna put syrup into some rum for a rum old fashioned anyway :P

Oh man, where do I start? Appleton Estate Rare Casks is a really good funky jamaican rum, Brugal Añejo is my favourite economy rum (I think it's dominican, nice sweet demerera), Matusalem is pretty good, though can be on the upper end of what I'm willing to drop on a bottle...I usually drink my spirits straight, so that's a sign of a good rum to me. Bumbu XO is nice, though some kinds of it are a bit like getting smacked with a banana

Haha my hubby and I love Bumbu and I said that I noticed the banana flavour while we drank it on ice! Lol. I’ve had Brugal before when I went to the Dominican years back. I remember it being quite good. Cheers to you!
