Trying to go through my unfinished pile so I can get to new drawings guilt free. The unfinished things make me see unlimited potential and many many possible roads I could get myself lost on. Leaving me unbearably overwhelmed. I barely got myself to call this done.

I like the effect you created with this one! The character is clearly tilted, but the feets makes it look like he can recover very quickly in case he was going to lose the balance.
I feel the same about wanting to keep working on unfinished pieces, but I feel that It is a good thing to let the time continue, to see if it helps to change my approach on some of the decisions I end up doing.
And I'm also guilty of saving a drawing that I like just a little bit to end up not opening that file never again

Thanks! The pose just came to be, I never noticed how the feet imply that
I know, right? Time does a very good job for the fresh eyes, but it proved a bit dangerous. I have to be more careful with it because it can very easily slip into endless postponing of the day I decide to finish it.
What helped me was a realization that some drawings are ‘doomed’, and cannot experience any bigger shifts in direction anymore (unless I decide to start over with the thumbnailing and go back to step one). For example with this piece, I kept revisiting it, trying to find this big “AHA” moment where I’ll suddenly figure out the solution or correct way to finish it. In the end, not all drawings can be magnum opuses (as I naively believed for a very long time) and are just unavoidably meant to be a ‘filler’, one of many experiments.
I hope I didn’t ramble too much, but it was quite a lesson I’ve learned here
