This a deeply personal drawing for me. This drawing is based on an image that will be forever imprinted on my mind of a Spring morning in 2005. According to public record it looks like 28 April 2005. In a way I have always felt ashamed that I drew this scene with furs as if some how the depiction of funny animals was irreverent.

A Air Force EOD team delayed our response to help these folks because they were not prepared/had their coffee. and it makes me both furious and sad every time I think about it.

This image was drawn on junk paper in the shade of a sandbag wall. The original was sent to my friend Kalahari as a gift. He provided me the scan in June 2006.
