In the "Fighter's Spirit" storyline, Rhei Jaa is one of the most brutal, cold-hearted fighters ever. Known and feared in his native Thailand, Rhei's reputation as a ruthless Muay Thai kickboxer has placed him in infamy. He believes that things such as emotion and pain will only get in his way, so his intense training has allowed him to ignore both completely.

People fear that Rhei's skills would lead him to a goal of world domination, but the only world he wants to rule is the world of kickboxing. The one thing he lusts for is an opponent worthy of his skill. Currently, there are two he's seen who he believes are worthy of him.

One is Kentaro, who defeated him in Zhang's tournament, and refused to deal the killing blow. The other is Aurora, who evaded his attacks, and "Bronco Buster"'d him into submission during Ted Barker's competition. When the time comes, he'll gladly face them again, but for now, he's going to take on all comers.
