This dragon is based on a typical Brazilian festival which takes place in June (and particularly my favorite festival in my country!). It celebrates three popular saints: Saint Anthony, Saint Peter and Saint John.
However, what most marks this festivity are the typical foods, the vast majority of which are based on corn and peanuts.
Typical dishes such as pamonha, cural, paçoca, mulled wine, ham snack among many other delicious foods.
Which is why I love this festival. <3
In these festivities, many games and typical dances are also common.
So, if you ever want to visit Brazil, I highly recommend coming during these festivities!

Ooooo, that festival sounds like it's a pretty fun time!! Then again, any celebration that involves food and festivities is a good time just in general! I can't really think of anything here in the US that we have that's at least somewhat similar apart from possibly Mardi Gras, though even then it's probably not even close, haha~ Corn and peanut based foods do sound good too, though I don't recognize many of the dishes that you mentioned aside from the mulled wine x3 I'll have to look those up to get a better idea of what they are, they do sound really good though!
That said, though, this dragon looks like a pretty fun creature! Love that clever little detail of the corn cob being the main body with the husk forming a neat looking cape around it and the flags for the wings, spines, and the scales on the arms. And of course all of the cool, festive colors are really wonderful too, really gives off that party/celebration kind of vibe! Super lovely work, as always~ <33
