Meet Hodda! They are comprised of an advanced swarm of hive-minded nanites that were exposed to a powerful Norse artifact; giving them advanced sapience and sentience. Their core synthetic chassis was built for a separate project but commandeered and changed by the entity, becoming their 'main' body and preferred form. The nanites have adapted to draw power from the natural energy around them and even replicate using biological materials, with some caveats.
While technically genderless, they typically present masculine and refer to themselves as such. When assimilating other individuals into their consciousness, they can choose to leave their prey's mind intact if independent thought benefits Hodda's plans, or they can forcibly subjugate them into eventual utter submission to the hivemind.
They are a 'big bad' of Kura's universe, and intend to eventually reign control of all realms, not just Midgard. It is their ultimate goal to find Yggdrasil and exploit it for their own personal gain; spreading themselves to every corner of reality, becoming truly omnipotent and all-knowing. Creating a utopia where all are self-sufficient, content, and in symbiosis with their environment is going to take stepping on some toes and some questionable morality...but what are men's morals to an ultimate synthetic being?
