Mortis, [she/they] the god of Death. Sprouted from Gaia as a twin-head during the Ascendant Calamity, (the disaster that opened the Time of Howling). The great swaths of dead and rising dead spurred her appearance. It was as sudden as it was horrifying to Gaia...

The seventh(?) Primordial to awake, once upon a time the twin head counterpart of Gaia. Now separated and estranged.

A part of the natural cycle of life, Mortis presides over death. Mort bears a special connection to the Second Life, able to slip behind the veil at will. She can silence the tormented souls returned to the living world with but a word. And thus, she walks the world doing just this. Where death blooms, Mortis follows to assure the balance is not broken. That death does not occur on so great a scale as to flood the Second Sea with pain and confusion. Though not an official member of the Order, she is a stalwart ally of the Keepers of the Dead.
