History
Deborah Cadwaladr was born to a family of British modernists in northern Wales. A precocious child, Deborah grew up with strange behaviors caused by unusual phenomena. Claiming to see things that were not there and sometimes entering trance-like states, she first told her parents about these moments. They, in turn, took her to doctors and psychiatrists. Displaying no traditional signs of mental disorders, they nonetheless attempted to treat her as though she were suffering from some condition or other. She soon learned to conceal these traits, feeling that the well-meaning people in her life were doing more harm than good.
Possessing a supernatural level of heightened awareness, she took to amateur archaeology. She caused a bit of a local sensation when she stumbled upon a small burial site and excavated it with unusually adept skill. Rights to the story paid her a modest sum and she was offered a scholarship. What she did not tell anyone is that after discovering the site, she started having vivid dreams and visions. Possessing memories of lives past, she now believes she is a reincarnation of Y Dyn Hysbys, that is to say "a Wise Man," or wizard from Ancient Wales.
After graduation, she would move to the United States. It startled many, but she was compelled to do so under the strength of powerful visions and the good she might do there. She eventually settled in Cincinnati and set up a shop where she is able to carry on her studies, as well as provide additional services for an unseen community of mystics living among the general populace. Among them being Shàonǚ and Aušrinė.
