It's an Asimov book, so I read it as a kid, along with a lot of others of his work. And Heinlein's too. That said, this was one he wrote based off someone else's work, the movie actually came first in this case. Still wish they'd make more Asimov movies off his actual books, rather than try to expand short stories into movies. I want an End of Eternity movie myself.
Regardless, it's a good enough book. Heck, I remember the fantastic voyage cartoon too...no I'm not kidding, there was one in the 70s, and it was goofy as all get.
