And yeah, turns out Dominate Beasts works in a previous edition but we're running 5e, where Owlbears are Monstrosities, so you need Dominate Monster, but that is a higher level than the characters are, not even to really talk about how Fyger's transformation is more druidic than polymorph so technically could be dominate person though they're not really a person, but that is a whole other stream of arguments to have-
But that all does get thrown out the window when you consider meme magics aren't in DnD and don't really need to abide by those rules especially when it's being applied to the GM directly
