Manatear reference - Spellfluxed Outside

Spellfluxed have a rough time outside the manatear, but the speed of their bodily failure depends on how overtly cheating their bodies are. Pooltoys don't even PRETEND to have guts, and thus nearly instantly fail in the absance of full saturation.
Nicole in comparison can probably handle being in a relatively low magic space for weeks, provided that it isn't none, before she would start to feel ill.
The duo must have tripped over a thin spot in the border regions of the tear, Daisy is going to need to be turned into something a little less synthetic to safely complete the trip later.

How come Nicole can handle being in a low magic space for some time? Actual anatomy and such?
I would guess that she has all the actual organs to live as a being. The pooltoy should -by normal natural laws- not be alive.

Pretty much. While her body probably cheats to function at 100% it has all the parts and organs you'd expect a flesh and blood critter to have.

What would a fully synthetic android/robot experience when leaving the manatear? Presumably just loss of power?

They'd last longer than Daisy, depends on how nonsense fictional space tech the robot designs are. they'll at least be able to turn around and get back to high saturation magic again, while daisy here probably just froze up in shock.

well in hehe-hoho tf land, a "New shape" is never that far away. She does consider the pooltoy mouse her default base shape though, she explicitly needs outside help to not be a pooltoy.

So, in an earlier post you said about half the people at the start of the Manatear became Spellfluxed and the others died. Did the ones who died fail to set up those magical "cheats" properly?

Since there is no organ to be damaged in a regular pooltoy, if one was to suddently be cut off magic, and then brought back to a more magic-rich environment : it will be akin to be knocked off ...or simply an irreversible death ?

Knocked out. Provided they are still near the manatear when this happens they could just go through a "respawn" process where they end up some critter in the wilderness, and the previous body abandoned.

this ties in with the 'Spellfluxed are immune to Ego Death [through nonviolent means]" then? the Ego is preserved and resleeved into an available and suitable Transient??

can take over a manifesting, but mostly on spawn or something catching the loose cores stuff and shoving it into something which is generally a low power range scavenger critter behavior.

after like a week of being an airhead before the thought even crosses the airhead's brainpan. "Wait, where am I?" and that's after a very inconsistent amount of time just floating around waiting to respawn.
