I liked the show, but it could be done better. Pacing is a bit rushed, animation is not as detailed as TMNT 2012 to the point of being slow. The betrayal arc with Chizu felt like it could have been explored, showing her friendship with the group be explored rather than being friends in a few episodes who feel betrayed when she was a ninja. The characters are interesting, and they have some good designs, but I think they should improve the animation.
Ya, I watched it too, and I liked it, but felt it could've been better, even if the demographic is for younger audiences. And some of the points you made were some of the things I also thought of while watching it from the story/plot, characters, designs, etc... I do like the characters and their designs, but felt there were some moments that felt a bit rushed, off putting or out of nowhere. Regardless, I thought it was between good and average. Assuming a second season is possible, maybe it could be an improvement compared to what's currently made
Glad to see you have the same idea. The cast is interesting, but the first season could have been a bit longer to explore their growing friendship. The combat was slow compared to the fast-paced yet still fluid animation of TMNT back in 2012. I find it a bit unfair that Kitsune and Gen were mad at Chizu for her betrayal when she was only betraying the bear and they got caught in the crossfire. Despite this, I appreciate some scenes, like the arcade one where Kitsune has Chizu give her a price with some puppy eyes.
Ya, I felt the fighting speed, or how everyone was fighting, kept changing. It was either well paced to where you could keep up with what was happening, to being slow or fast at times. Plus, the choreography could've been a bit worked on to make the fights more interesting and engaging. Also ya, the part where Kitsune and Gen were mad at Chizu, I felt it was not necessary, or a somewhat lazy attempt to give Chizu a character moment by having her show her kind side/building one. I think Kitsune is my favorite of the cast
