I've always weirdly loved mushrooms, and myconids are some of my favorite monsters in... well basically anything they show up in! I was in the mood for traditional art, so i went for it

All the myconids in Aurantia forest look unique depending on where they sprouted and how long they've been able to grow. They are averse to sunlight and prefer to wander in the rain, but those with large caps are able to withstand light and heat for longer. Most specimens seen in the outer and middle depths of the forest are small and manageable, but they get larger and more oddly shaped towards the heart of the woods. While typically harmless unless attacked or threatened with fire, they have been acting notably strange in recent months.
