Before there was a Baron von Drachen there was the White Gryphon, Alexander. Heir to the title of Gryphon from his father, Alexander's life was not one of high class comfort. His father and mothers relationship was one of purely pragmatic making. One family using another to raise its own social capital. The relationship was strained, not only by the chaos of the world, but by the utter disdain his mother and father shared. His farther was a firm supporter of the kings, whilst his mother fervently supported the lower nobles.

As the War of The Heavens raged in the dragon filled skies above, the lands of men and beast below prepared for all out civil war. Corrupt kings and lords pitted against the thousands of minor nobles and the peasants with them. Everything would finally come to a head in 1094 AD. A spark in Hakrin causing the beginning of a ten year war that would lead to the fall of kingdoms and the death of millions. Even the War of The Heavens would dwarf in comparison to the War of Beasts.

Thrust into the middle of it would be young Alexander. Left to choose a side and choose the fate of his remaining family as lines were drawn amongst them. The above piece shows off him and his early war outfit. A true son of Hakrin, he carries a specialized spear for armored foes, and a sword for when the enemy gets up close. On horse back the spear would also serve as an excellent weapon to slice through enemy cavalry and light infantry alike. Both implements would serve him well in the years to come.
