Hwang Taejo has returned home to Korea to double his training. He was defeated and humiliated by Kentaro once again, and now he's decided that until he's become the strongest practitioner of Taekwondo, he won't seek his suppossed rival.

He's always been the strongest member of his studio, and is even the assistant to it's master, and he's won every Taekwondo tournament he's ever competed, so he can't understand why he can't beat Kentaro. It could be perhaps because he's too arrogant for his own good: made so by all those victories. His determination could drive him to become a fighter on Ken's level, if his swelled head doesn't do him in first.
