Well, this is a character I never thought I'd ever draw. XD
Anyone remember that weird Cuban Pavita Pechugona song that came out some time ago that was memed for the design of the turkey character that was present in it? If you're unfamiliar, here's the song in question - and yes, before you ask, this is meant to be a CHILDREN'S song.
I also found the lyrics for the song in English - the basic gist of it is that it's a song about a turkey with big hooters that draws the attention of everyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhh11qvPobE
The busty turkey plays it as a lady
and in the afternoons she goes out for a walk
with her umbrella and an apron
Tatacatá Tatacatá
Tatacatá Tatacatá
The pretty feathers of the turkey
the wind sways gently
and the turkey waddles and taps
Tatacatá Tatacatá
Tatacatá Tatacatá.
Oh busty pavita, how pretty and how simple!
Oh busty pavita, how pretty and how simple!
I saw a lot of people saying that they really loved the design of the character, but when I first saw the design of the titular character in it, I honestly thought the design looked rather uncomfortable. :/ With the boobs being more than five times the size of her head (I know people joke about Jessica Rabbit's proportions but this is going WAY too far), I found myself more questioning where her guts and spine were while watching it, and I was just thinking it must be TORTURE on her back! D8
It's like that one girl from the Inner Workings Pixar short and a lot of anime girls with boobs being ten times larger than their heads - for me, characters designed for fanservice purposes can only go so far in proportions before they become hard to look at and when I go for characters that are more well endowed I try to keep them within the realms of still being relatively plausible. :/
I was honestly tempted to have a go at drawing Pavita but with the rack toned down so that she looks actually realistic without having to wear a back brace and with two things the character doesn't seem to have- INTERNAL ORGANS and a SPINE. And after some planning, I've done just that. XD
I also decided to make her a bit more heavyset as I thought that would make it a bit less unbearable on her back and the physique would fit better, and I used colour schemes for the sky and background inspired by the short in question. :)
