Every month on the full moon, the shrine gates between the
human world and the beastman world open completely for
the reunion of families and friends across the planes of beings.
Many beastmen stay and live a calming life of peace and tranquility.
While others are ambitious enough to go out to the human world
to live a domesticated life. On this full moon, the villagers of the
Kemori Empire celebrate the joining of new beastmen and returning
beastmen to their homeland. This celebration is held at a
national party called the "Lunar Festival" at the Capital where
they eat, dance, purchase items and even have a firework show
nearing midnight. As exciting as this was, Kaede was stuck with
her guard Xiang in the palace. She made desperate attempts to
escape into the crowd to party before the firework ceremony.
Her claws and fangs sank into his flesh as she tugged away from
his grasp. But no matter how hard she tried, Xiang held her arm
tighter and tighter the more she tried to run away.
"Come on, Xiang! I dressed up for a party I can't participate in?"
The small tanuki girl whined. "I even tied my hair up so people could see my face!"
The towering red panda man looked down at her with eyes of empathy,
his heart pounding as he locked eyes with his precious puppy.
"I'm sorry, Princess. But the Empress instructed that I kept you here in the palace until the firework ceremony."
