Young Pearl had been kidnapped by a corrupted science organization once again, who had been hiding out in a dangerous factory. (Teen) Angela rushed in without hesitation, not even considering scoping the environment out first for the best plan of attack. This resulted in her getting a nasty stab to her side and a deep scratch on her arm. Although she had Pearl safe in her good arm at this point, her strength was running out as she tried to make her escape. This ended up her losing her balance, falling off a bridge, and just barely being able to grab a beam in time.
Now dangling over a vat of hot, molten, Mobian-made lava, she holds on for dear life to both little Pearl and the beam. But her injuries are making it difficult for her to keep her strength up and concentrate on her power control...as well as her hopes as tears start to roll down her angered, pained face. Unable to fly and slowly losing strength, Angela can only think of her failure in this mission, how she could've went about it differently, and how she could've let her little friend down so shamefully. But in truth, Pearl did not think any less of her hero as she holds on tight, knowing that her big sister figure did her best.
Little did they know, help was on the way. But would they make it in time to save Angela and Pearl from a fiery fate?
I decided to do this "remake" since the original had suddenly gained a lot of attention...for some reason. One night in a matter of 3-4 hours, not including the paper sketch; holy s***! I'm proud of how this came out, though.
