What do foreigners think of us Latin Americans?
Unfortunately for Americans or foreigners, they think that all Latin Americans are Mexicans, as if South and Central America would be like an extension of the country of tacos, that Hollywood makes strange mixtures of supposedly Latin American seats, and yes, Brazilians don't know either. save from those strange mixtures.
speaking of tacos, it is not strange that they think that all Latinos eat tacos (I never ate a taco, maybe in the future I will eat one) and also that we eat a lot of tequila or spicy (I DON'T LIKE SPICY it gives me gas and little accidents ), which only happens in Mexico.
YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE ME, an astonishing number of people, both North Americans and foreigners, believe that Latin Americans behave the same or have the same skin tone (you know, half toasted) in fact when they meet someone from our continent and they do not comply with his expectations he dares to say that **he is not Latin American enough** (mm that they will refer to that)
here another thing like this on a daily basis is that they think that we consume or sell drugs and that we have no problems in committing illicit acts (I don't know who was the one who got such an absurd idea, in my daily life there is nothing like that)
Another thing that they believe about us is that we are lazy, irresponsible and irresponsible, they also say that we cannot carry out a job seriously (as if the economic conditions were so wonderful, I would laugh in the face if someone told me that)
another absurd stereotype is that we travel to the united states or europe because we are poor and because we want to take jobs away from others, in fact they are surprised by the capacity of our study and the capacity that we can achieve
Another strange thing is that they see us as rough, rude and with a low educational level, which is wrong, the most surprising thing is that some are shocked that we have electricity, internet or modern skyscrapers (I don't even believe it when I hear that)
since for those who think that, our content is submerged in poverty.
a belief that even made me laugh is that everywhere, both in the streets, at home there are dozens of chickens or hens, if you don't believe me even in the movies, if you notice well there will be chickens even in the most surprising places (even if you don't would be a bad idea, I would have my free fried egg for lunch) they also got it into his head that we live with exotic animals such as jaguars, tigers, lions or elephants (well it may be possible that in some places it is like that, but I don't think that in everywhere, wow if you ask me, I would like a lion as a pet, it would go well with my lion costume that I have saved for there)
another important thing and sadly, insecurity and corruption also jump out when talking about this beautiful continent, I don't know where the idea that parents keep their children on a leash so that they are not kidnapped or that they teach them to fight so they can be defend. if those kind of people seem to believe that we live in some kind of primitive jungle.
now this stereotype is true, unlike other countries is that we support and take care of each other without anything in return as if we were a big family which is true, here we are very familiar, affectionate.
They don't tell us for nothing that we are passionate romantics over all the women who do have their little things 7u7.
Another thought that is rather strange, they believe that the Latin American culture is very macho, but believe me, men love and respect women more if they are our mothers.
for some strange reason the americans believe that we don't love them, that's false, we love them (let's see tell me what you think about this strange belief)
but in the end the foreigners who come here to our house change many of their thoughts about us, along with a big smile.
From Mexico to Chile, we are all very cool, the world should never underestimate us since according to my opinions we are the coolest in the entire planet.
And you do you think?.
It should be clarified that not everyone has these beliefs or they put these stereotypes on us, since I met many who have a lot of respect for my country and the cultures towards our beautiful continent

"both North Americans and foreigners, believe that Latin Americans behave the same or have the same skin tone" man the people who believe that are stupid freaking unbelievable, i believe you but like wtf? With their logic every people should behave differently cuz they are from different countries 🤦
Aw, I'm sorry that some people actually think that about Latin Americans. :(
By the way, the fact that you brought this up kind of reminds me of something. I actually learned that people who live in South America don't like it when those who are from the United States refer to the United States of America as just simply, "America". When it comes to stereotypical things US citizens do, this is one of those things that is actually pretty common. I've been guilty of even doing it, too. Thankfully, I've never actually been to South America before and offended anybody by referring to the United States as "America". A lot of people in the US do, in fact, refer to the US as just, "America". However, when I learned that it upsets South Americans, it taught me to be more considerate of others. I wanted to tell you this because I felt that it would make you feel better.
Again, I'm sorry that some foreigners actually believe in those stereotypes.
