Warning:
Following displays are own interpretations of Pokémon in bad semi realism. Additionally they are not necessarily drawn with the usual animal features you are mostly used to when you see them in realism/semi-realism. They might not hit your taste. Also bear with me, I am not as experienced when it comes to newer Pokémon, so I don't know much about their size, usual behavior or specialties. Also the size on this sketch dump are not accurate to each other ^^
HOWEVER, before someone asks, the requests are closed again, so don't bother to write any in the comment section.
Those small pics are just drawn in a sketchy way, since there was a whole bunch people wished for, so since I wanted to draw all, because I need the practice and I didn't want to exclude anybody, they came out in a rather sloppy but hopefully still interesting way. I also mentioned the people, who wished for them, since you guys took your time to actually comment on the poll. Thank you ^^
And sorry for every Pokémon having a siggy from me, but I know that even if I ask not to, people might take the pictures and cut one out of it. That way they might at least leave the siggy on the picture.
Anyway, below you find descriptions of what kind of animals I used for them as orientation and maybe even the reason for my choice:
Suicune: Clouded Leopard. I know in the English version, they are three legendary dog Pokémon, but I like to keep it close to the original Japanese one where they are cats. It actually makes more sense, since Entei is a lion, Raikou a tiger and Suicune….someone told me cheetah, I always thought leopard, but looking at Sui's rather "fluffy" design and especially his big spots on his body, I decided for the clouded leopard.
Lugia: I love it, when you try to draw Pokis realistic and suddenly realize how weird they actually are.
I think, Lugias wings are actually covered in feathers, but I decided for a pure dragon design here. Bear with me XDD
Ratata and Rapidash: Baby Rat and Arabian Horse. They requested by Szme and done a long long time ago in another drawing program, that's why they look rather detailed and maybe better than the rest does. I just figured, since I wouldn't upload them in a single way, I might aswell put them on the same sheet as the rest.
Ninetails: Maned Wolf. Why? Because Vulpix already seemed like a red fox to me. So I thought about what animal looks similar to a fox but bigger and maybe more elegant and the maned wolf jumped into my face. Additionally it's mane harmonizes wonderfully with the one Ninetails has XD ….kinda.
Growlithe: Baby tiger and puppy. My personal fav, because it's too cute for its own good.
Arcanine: Tiger, lion and dog mix. The mane like hair at throat and neck/head inspired me the most to include the lion here.
Pikachu: Hamster and mouse. Scary eyes, huh? MUAHAHAHAHAHA.
Granbull: Bulldog and Pitbull.
Ralts: I had really no idea how to display it in semi realism and that only in a sketchy way. Ralts seems like an equivalent to the Japanese forest ghosts to me, so I barely changed anything.
Dragonair: Snake and dragon. Scary, isn't it? Suddenly the cute Pokémon aren't so cute anymore when we realize how some of them may look in reality (as far as someone can call my art real << )
Hitmonlee: Nothing to say…..much more than to simply point to the comment above.
Totodile: Baby crocodile.
Luxray: Older lion cub? Teenage lion? Well, Luxray was difficult, because in contrast to other big cat or lion-like Pokémon it has a rather child like scheme. But it is too big and still too strongly developed in it's anatomy to look like a complete lion cub. I chose a state between cub and adult in the end. I hope it is visible.
Feraligator: Mix of an adult crocodile and a bipedal predator dinosaur. As we know, adult crocodile pretty much loose the ability to stand straight up in any way, but Ferali walks mostly on two legs, so I had to figure out a way to give him this ability back……aaaaand crossed him with a dino. Yes, I am weird.
Golduck: Human and duck
Shaymin: Zenit form is a cross of a hedgehog and a fawn
Kadabra: Human and semi-horse head.
Mebukijika: Stag XDDD
Alakazam: Same features as Kadabra, but with a few changes. Yes, I had to cover space so, he had to lay down. Be silent, Alakazam. At least I gave you a pillow. :D
Zekrom: Missing because he is so huge and needs more space to be interpreted
