Life is quite a fleeting thing, but not for all. When one life ends, another can very well begin. Such is the case for the one formerly known as Jules, now named Gale. He was an Obstagoon that was very important to a particular individual, so much so that in his passing, he was turned into an egg to be reborn with his memories intact. However, a clash between the representatives of Time and Space displaced the egg containing Jules, putting him in the hands of a human trainer that last made contact with a Lucario.

This caused a disruption to the process, making the Pokemon's memories hazy and distant, turning him into a Lucario instead of a Obstagoon due to the memories of the one who touched the egg first, but made his coloration reflect his past form to a degree.

Thus Gale the Riolu was hatched into the care of Samuel Kelran, becoming the trainer's second Pokemon while the trainer was traveling the Sinnoh region. In time, he would evolve into a Lucario, an event that would trigger the attention of the one who thought he had lost Jules forever.
