The main disadvantage appears to be the need to live a very secretive double life revolving around the phases of the moon. Always needing to keep the truth about your self hidden from everyone other then the select few in the know. All the while terrified the wrong people will find out your secret and not only endanger your own life but the lives of all others like you.

Just think what would happen if the wrong person saw your true from and having to make the tough choice of how to silence them.

So its a "blessing with complications?" Also if werewolves like to think of it less of a curse does that mean there are just werewolves attacking as many people as possible.

With most movies and books I have read, werewolves tend to try and police themselves. An out of control wolf or even a rouge wolf would be hunted and put down, for the safety of the local pack...and werewolves in general.

After all, where there are werewolves, there are werewolf hunters. Indiscriminately killing humans or even house pets would be a red flag for hunters.

Werewolves tend to want outsiders to believe anything BUT werewolves. Some have been known to even make ' bugfoot' sightings as an excuse for a wolf out for a stroke.

Just my 2 cents from other werewolf universes I have been through, not sure what this ones are...that is up to the author/artist to make up..

I'm guessing the allergy to silver is likely deadly. What about chocolate? Would they break out in Hives or have some other form of allergic reaction?

Silver just nullifies their enhanced healing and "toughness". It is safe for them to touch and handle.
