Nicole the Nidoqueen and Nick the Nidoking
I decided to portray them together since they're technically the same pokemon, just male and female. Also yes, some of the pokemon in this series will be male since, well, some just strike me as undoubtedly male.
Nidoqueen and Nidoking would be a heavy weight veterans, sort of mentors for the younger fighters. Both calm and stoic, being nicknamed Auntie and Uncle, they would no longer participate in official matches but serve as coaches and trainers. Both already have a long history of victories, defeats, and championships.
